The evolution of the Internet, from its early commercialization in the 1990s to the advent of Web 2.0 and Social Media at the turn of the 21st century, marked a transformative era. Coupled with the rapid expansion of mobile technologies and advancements in the digital landscape in recent years (including Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Edge Computing, the Internet of Things, 3D Printing, Robotics, and Consumer Neuroscience), this shift has redefined marketing strategies. The marketing paradigm has moved away from mass production, communication, and distribution towards personalized, transparent, and engaging approaches. As we enter the technology-enabled Web 3.0 stage, terms like Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, 3D-printing, Analytics, and Big Data are shaping the future directions of marketing theory and practice.
